Luke swiped right... Erika then messaged... "Hi Luke". It all started from here.
As it was lockdown and everyone was panicking over a caugh, we had to have a date somewhere outside. Dominos would not allow us to pick up a pizza so another option... we ordered it to the car. We then drove to a park, sat on a bench and I (Luke) done most of the talking. Erika did send a picture of my licence plate to her friend in case I would kidnap her. Do I really look like that?
Don't answer that!
We have travelled to several places. We visited Wales, Scotland, Philippines and Poland...
We cannot wait to make more memories together.
I wanted to propose to Erika in Philippines, but she said to me "Don't do anything stupid like proposing" that is the time, you do the opposite what you are being asked. But I didn't listen. I didn't want to do it in a boring location where we can go anytime... So next chance I had was in Poland on our skiing holiday. Months of planning went into it. We took a tour to Kasprowy Wierch. For those that don't know, its a mountain in the Tarta range. Anyway, I was trying to get Erika to go to the highest point with me. The icy wind picked up, she lost her glove, face covered in ice... was it the right moment?
Ok so another day we took a ride on horses to the forest in a typical highlander style. We then went to this typical highlanders party filled with BBQ food, alcohol and loads of dancing. We met this lovely couple and I told them what my plan was. We were going to go to Morskie Oko and YES. That's where I will do it. After a long 3 hour walk, we finally got to it. It was that moment everyone surrounded us pretending to take pictures but they were all recording us and boom, I went down on one knee to propose. Now there is nothing I can mess up here... or is there. Obviously I put the ring on the wrong hand and finger. Oh and the ring is too big. More on this story on our wedding day ;-)
On the 24th August 2024, two familes have became as one.
